Inside the room
JAPANDI STUDIO is what happens when Japanese minimalism meets Scandinavian architecture and neither one blinks. Beige lime-washed walls. Organic forms. Sculptural furniture with edges you'll want in every frame.
Seven large west-facing 8-foot windows own the afternoon. When golden hour hits, the whole room turns amber, brands plan entire campaigns around those forty minutes. Blackout blinds flip the space to full control when you'd rather build the light yourself.
At 2,500 square feet with a dressing room, wardrobe rack and freight elevator access, it carries fashion, lifestyle and product work without breaking its calm.

GOOD TO KNOW
By booking this studio you agree to the rules below. Not following them may end your booking early without a refund, and any damage may incur additional fees.
Please do not:
- wear shoes on the rugs
- stand on the furniture, including couches
- place food or drinks on the furniture or rugs
- smoke or use smoke machines in the building
- bring alcohol into the building
- bring pets
- play loud music, disturb neighbors, or loiter in the building hallways
- burn candles
- use feathers, glitter, confetti, sand, paint, aerosol cans, fireworks, weapons, or other hard-to-clean particles (damage fees apply)
Keep the studio door closed at all times. Do not move hung art, only small items such as chairs, books, columns, and vases may be moved, and everything must be returned to its original spot before your booking ends. Large pieces (couches and solid marble or stone tables) cannot be moved; these are custom and costly, so please don't move them unless arranged with us in advance.
All ages are welcome. Production insurance is not required. Security cameras on the premises monitor check-out and any damage; recording devices are never placed in restrooms or dressing rooms.
You are responsible for leaving the space exactly as you found it. The studio is inspected before and after every booking, and any damage will be billed.
Seven large west-facing 8-foot windows give this studio its famous golden hour, with unobstructed city views and abundant natural light. Blackout blinds let you take full control and build your own light whenever you want.
Nearby parking lots and metered street parking. Our building has several lots close by with easy access; if one is full, there are more lots across the street, and metered street parking is available when open.
Crew access via stairs, elevator, freight elevator, and the ground floor. There are several loading zones on the street, plus freight-elevator access for large equipment, let us know in advance if you'll need it. Some rooms are off-limits for shooting, and building common areas such as restrooms and hallways are shared.
The space is cleaned and disinfected before every booking in line with local health guidelines: high-touch surfaces and shared amenities are disinfected, and soft, porous materials are properly cleaned. We sweep, mop, vacuum, remove trash, and reset common areas between bookings.
Rates: $125/hr weekdays, $145/hr weekends, plus a one-time $35 cleaning fee. 1-hour minimum.
Group size (added to the hourly rate):
- 1–8 guests: included
- 9–15 guests: +$40/hr
- 16–30 guests: +$70/hr
- 30–40 guests: +$120/hr
Overtime: there is no free overtime. Please have all crew, guests, and equipment out of the room by the end of your booking. Overtime is billed at 2× the hourly rate in 30-minute increments. Need more time? Just ask and we'll add it if the room is open.
Other fees: furniture not returned to its original location may incur fees starting at $50, and a lost restroom key is $35. If you'd like us to move furniture for you, contact us or add it on when booking.
Cancellations: cancel up to 7 days before your event start time for a full refund, including all fees. Cancel between 7 days and 24 hours before and receive a 50% refund, excluding fees. Cancellations inside 24 hours of the event start time are not refundable.
