In the following paragraphs we will discuss the following factors which affect the studio pricing: Aesthetic, Size, guest quantity, duration and additional add-on equipment.

Each studio looks and provides different experiences for our guests which is important to consider all studios and understand their designs in order to best fit the vision you want for your brand and business. While the size of the studio also impacts the pricing, the furnishing in each studio is different and almost all our furniture is either designed/ custom made for our photo studios or it is vintage. For this reason, much of the furniture and decor pieces range widely in pricing and impact the studio rental pricing. We aim to provide high quality spaces that are unique and valuable, for this reason we carefully design our spaces and put a lot of time and effort in sourcing and proving high-end furniture and details in our photo studios compared to many other photo studios in Los Angeles. 

Another factor that can affect the cost of renting a photo studio is the size of the space. Studios can range in size from small, intimate spaces to large, open areas that are suitable for shooting a wide range of subjects. Generally, larger studios will be more expensive to rent than smaller spaces, however the design of the space must also be taken into consideration. 

Guest quantity also affects the cost of renting a photo studio. If you have a large production team, the hourly rate will be higher than guests who only bring 1-5 people. Generally when working with large companies/ brands the production team count will be anywhere from 22 – 32 people. Smaller every day shoots tend to be 2-5 people. 

The duration of the rental period can also play a role in the overall cost of renting a photo studio. We may offer discounts for longer rental periods of 8+ hours. It’s important to consider the length of time you’ll need the studio when determining the overall cost. When planning out your project timeline it’s important to factor in time for setup and breakdown at the start and end of each session when renting a studio space as well as breaks during long shoots.

Additional equipment or services rented with our studio will also impact the studio rental cost. While our studios provide many furniture, props, wifi and other important amenities, guests may also rent additional equipment and/or services. DTLA Visuals provides a wide-range of services such as models photographers, videographers , and production assistants. Table settings such as tables and chairs may also be added for an additional cost.
